What should I wear?
A perk of booking a boudoir shoot with XO Maggie is that you have access to our amazing client closet! We have pieces in sizes XS-4X in variety of styles from lacey romantic looks to strappy sultry pieces. And if you’re not a lingerie kinda gal, we have a ton of other options—t-shirts, tanks, sweaters, robes jackets, etc. We’ll find something that fits your style perfectly.
Before your session, you’ll schedule a call to chat with your photographer. We’ll discuss your style, your vision for the session, and your clothing sizes. When you come in for your session, we’ll have pulled some outfits that we think will be perfect for you. You can try on a bunch of options and decide what you love. All our pieces are dry cleaned and sanitized between every sessions, and our clients wear thongs or liners under any items from our closet.
If you don’t want to borrow from the client closet, that’s ok too! Your photographer will discuss wardrobe and give you some pointers if you need help deciding what to buy or bring for your session.
Do you provide hair and makeup?
All sessions with XO Maggie have professional hair and makeup included. We do this for two reasons:
The first, is simply because our studio equipment is top of the line and will pick up every pore on your face- even things you won’t see in person. Having your hair and makeup done helps accentuate your bone structure, eyes, etc. which will really stand out in your photos! Our Hair and Makeup Artists will work with you on creating the perfect look that best suits you and your style, whether that’s full on glam, or simple and natural.
The second reason is that EVERY client comes into the studio nervous, and that’s totally understandable! We want to make this experience as relaxing, stress free and fun as possible for you, and having your hair and makeup done is an essential part of that boudoir experience. It gives you time to settle your nerves, get comfy in our studio, and get that little extra bump of confidence knowing you look AMAZING going into your shoot!
What if I don't know how to pose?
Don’t worry! No one walks into our studio knowing how to pose! Our photographers have years of experience and education learning how to direct you into the perfect pose. It’s our job to make you look amazing, and we make sure every part of your pose is perfect- from your facial expression down to your fingers and toes! There’s no reason to practice poses or try to make sexy faces in the mirror. Your photographer will guide you through the whole shoot. We have shot hundreds of women over our 13 years in business so you are in great hands!
Will You Share My photos online?
Not unless you want us to! Privacy is our number one priority. All of the women you see on our website, social media, and even in our studio print samples have given permission with a signed model release for us to use their photos.
While many of our clients are proud of their images, and want them shared all over, we do NOT require you to do so! You NEVER have to share your images anywhere. Your session can be kept as private or as public as you choose. We unequivocally respect our clients wishes on this.
We also allow different degrees of sharing. If you do decide to let us post your photos, you only share to your comfort level. You can share only anonymous images, only images without nudity, or let us share any of your images!
